Kegworth Market Place on a sunny market day, with artisan stalls and shoppers enjoying the village atmosphere

Harvest Time in Kegworth: What to Expect on Sunday 20th September

There's a lovely shift in the air as September rolls in, and here in Kegworth, we're getting ready for our third Taste of the Three Counties market trial—the Harvest Market.

Following the fantastic buzz of our spring and summer dates, Sunday 20th September is shaping up to be a brilliant morning in the Market Place. Growers, bakers, butchers, and makers from right across Leicestershire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire will be gathering once again, bringing the very best seasonal produce and handmade treasures right into the heart of our village.

As a shop sitting right on the Market Place, we have the best view in the house. Watching the square fill up with friendly chatter, busy bags, and people taking the time to enjoy a proper Sunday stroll is exactly why we love being here.

Whether you're a village local popping out for your morning loaf or travelling in for a day out, we've worked hard with our community partners to make your visit as easy and welcoming as possible.

Easy Visitor Parking & Local Morning Bites

We want everyone travelling in from near or far to have a completely hassle-free morning. This time, we've got great parking options sorted right in the village:

The lovely team at the Kegworth Hotel have kindly opened up their car park for market visitors completely free of charge. Because they use an ANPR monitoring system, all you need to do is pop into hotel reception to register your vehicle number plate when you park up.

Planning a morning of it? The Kegworth Hotel is running breakfast from 8am–10am on Sunday, and they have a Costa machine ready if you want to grab a warm takeaway coffee for the short walk down to the Market Place. They'll also have their lunch menu available if you fancy settling in for a bite after browsing the stalls!

Make a Morning of It

The stalls will be up and running from 9am to 2pm. Our shop windows will be shining, our doors will be wide open, and we'll have plenty of browsing, tasters, and warm welcomes waiting inside The Soar Trading Co. as always.

If you're local, walk down and soak up the atmosphere. If you're coming from further afield like Leicester, Derby, or Nottingham, grab a coffee, wander the square, visit the local shops, and enjoy everything Kegworth has to offer.

Kegworth is worth the trip—and we can't wait to see you on Sunday 20th!
