A Taste of the Three Counties: Bringing Quality Produce Back to Kegworth
If you were in the village for our first market day, you'll have felt that wonderful shift in the air. After a long period of quiet streets and the challenges of road closures, seeing the Market Place bustling with life felt like a real turning point for Kegworth.
The Vision: Quality First
When the plans for A Taste of the Three Counties began, we were given a very clear objective: to bring high-quality, locally sourced produce right into the heart of Kegworth village.
Drawing on the very best from Leicestershire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire, the goal was to create a proper destination — a farmers market where "produce at the heart of the three counties" isn't just a slogan, but something you can taste, smell, and take home. A place to meet the incredible growers, bakers, and makers who make our region so special.
A Growing Success
The response to our first market was more than we could have hoped for! It was so rewarding to see people rediscovering the joy of the market experience — chatting with producers, learning where their food comes from, and soaking up the atmosphere in Kegworth Market Place.
It proved there's a real appetite for this kind of quality-driven, community farmers market. It's about more than just shopping — it's about supporting the local food chain across Leicestershire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire, and giving our village centre the buzz it deserves.
🗓️ This Sunday — 17th May, We're Back!
We're returning to Kegworth Market Place this Sunday 17th May for our Early Summer market. Fresh produce, familiar faces, and some wonderful new stall additions. Tonight on our Facebook page we'll be introducing all of our stallholders — give it a share to spread the word!
